My roots and citizenship are Canadian, but Louden Wainwright III's songs about contemporary life in "the valley", yes the huge rectangle from West Hills to Burbank, from Mission Hills to Sherman Oaks, are songs about home to me.
It's very close to a daily ritual to sit down at the cranky HP desktop and squeeze in my Canada hour before running to catch Stewart and Colbert.

I know America's contribution to the "war in Afghanistan" has been the largest even after the magician's misdirection to Iraq, but when YOU ( America ) turn your focus so suddenly like that, it makes your friends feel like you invited them to the party that you planned to ditch early.
